Start Running Recap: C25K Week Five

by michael on April 25, 2010 · 2 comments

Well… Week Five of the Couch-to-5k running program is in the books, and I’ve already embarked on Week Six. Once again, I did the workouts on Sun/Tues/Thur instead of Mon/Wed/Fri, and I’m starting to feel like that’s a pretty good groove. I think I’ll stick with the new schedule, at least for the time being.

Sunday afternoon was pretty uneventful, and not all that challenging. According to RunKeeper, I covered 2.50 miles and burned 291 calories. I topped it off by chopping some wood, and ultimately wore myself out.

Tuesday morning went well, though I was still dealing with some muscle soreness from the wood chopping. I covered 2.53 miles, and burned 298 calories. That evening, I walked an additional 2.25 miles during my son’s soccer practice.

Finally, on Thursday I completed the 20 minute run and covered a total of 2.54 miles and burned 306 calories. I then on Friday and cranked out an hour on the elliptical on Saturday.

All in all, it was a good week.

Nice work! Glad to see you’ve made it this far and are still going strong.

Over half way now. It looks like you’re going to power strongly through to the finish.
