I snore loudly and I'm fairly in shape (175llbs, 5'11). I consume lots of caffeine (two espressos a day), drink alchohol 3-5 times a week, and do no cardio. I think mouth-breathing is the primary cause of my snoring and daytime fatigue.

Losing 40 pounds cured my snoring problem. I was not fat, in relation to most people... and people who know me well do not believe that I even had 40 pounds to lose, but I did. Point is... losing weight is a BIG help too, in addition to all the things mentioned in the article.
